Who can participate?
We're looking for adults who have had an X-ray, CT scan, MRI or any other radiographic chest imaging done for COVID-19.
Our community of patients, clinicians, and scientists will make AI work for everyone.
The purpose of this study is to develop medical Artificial Intelligence (AI) to better understand COVID-19 using patients' chest imaging. In collaboration with clinical partners, we have built a secure platform that allows us to enroll patients who were previously hospitalized for COVID-19 to share their X-rays and clinical experiences.
As a participant, you can gain realtime access to your clinical X-rays that you can then share with your healthcare providers. We take every precaution to keep your data private, secure and anonymous. Your data allows us to develop technology that ultimately helps doctors better treat their patients.
Sharing your data helps us to fight COVID-19 by developing AI that works for everyone. Please sign up!
Help us foster a data-driven community to train, test and validate new AI to fight COVID-19.
Online Survey
When you enroll online, we ask about your hospital stay for COVID-19 in a questionnaire that should take you five minutes. We use the information you provide to learn how to predict the clinical outcomes of the disease using machine learning and AI guidance.
Chest X-Ray
Chest X-ray is used to diagnose COVID-19 infections, and their interpretation may influence patient placement, quarantine, ICU admission, and ventilator support. AI can help physicians to better interpret X-rays of COVID-19 patients.
UCF Medical Students
This study was designed by the UCF College of Medicine through the FIRE Program which provides research experiences. Medical students may call you to facilitate your participation.
When you participate, you help educate future doctors in cutting edge scientific AI research.
THE COVID-19 IMAGING REPOSITORY
The National Library of Medicine of the NIH has funded this study to develop an open imaging repository to build AI to streamline clinical workflows or power consumer patient apps. This repository will bring together a community of patients, clinicians, and data scientists to develop AI to fight COVID-19. This study represents one of the first research studies to engage patients to directly donate their imaging (chest X-rays) to develop medical AI.
Frequently asked questions to help you decide whether to participate.
Stay informed about the COVID-19 pandemic to protect yourself.
PEOPLE WITH COVID-19 HAVE HAD A WIDE RANGE OF SYMPTOMS REPORTED 2-14 DAYS AFTER EXPOSURE TO THE VIRUS.
Anyone can have mild to severe symptoms.
Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHARACTERISTICS OF NEW VARIANTS IS RAPIDLY EMERGING.
New COVID-19 Variants
Scientists are working to learn more about how easily they might spread, whether they could cause more severe illness, and whether currently authorized vaccines will protect people against them. At this time, there is no evidence that these variants cause more severe illness or increased risk of death.

Get the COVID-19 Vaccine to Protect Yourself and Your Family
While more COVID-19 vaccines are being developed as quickly as possible, routine processes and procedures remain in place to ensure the safety of any vaccine that is authorized or approved for use. Safety is a top priority, and there are many reasons to get vaccinated.
